Security Control

 

All persons intending to travel, as well as their baggage, are subject to security control before boarding, in order to prevent the introduction of weapons, explosives, or other devices, as well as dangerous objects that could be used for illicit intervention, on board aircraft!

 

Leaving unattended baggage in public areas of the airport is prohibited. Do not accept any package or luggage from another person, regardless of the reason! Do not leave your luggage unattended, not even for a few seconds! In case, for various reasons, prohibited items for cabin transport have not been registered as checked baggage or handed over to the transporting airline, the goods will be abandoned in specially designated boxes and mechanically destroyed according to the provisions of the current airport procedures.

 

Airport Arrival

 

We recommend that you schedule your arrival at the airport two or three hours before the departure time for international flights, and at least one hour before for domestic flights!

You need this time to complete all the necessary formalities for your journey (passenger and baggage check-in, security control, customs control, etc.). Allow time for a worry-free journey!

 

Airport Information

 

As soon as you arrive at the airport, get information about your flight!

Last-minute information may occur. You can consult the staff at the Information Desk of the airline you are traveling with for clarification. Check the flight information boards and monitor the information displays throughout the passenger flow. Pay attention to all announcements broadcast through the airport’s sound system, as well as all displayed information.

 

Customs Control

 

Upon entry/exit to/from Romania, the following must be declared on the customs declaration form:

an amount exceeding 10,000 € or its equivalent in another currency; weapons, ammunition, explosive, radioactive, or nuclear materials; medicines, chemicals, toxic substances; jewelry exceeding personal needs; alcoholic beverages in quantities greater than 1 liter; cigarettes in quantities greater than two cartons (200 cigarettes); any artwork from the state’s heritage.

Check-in Formalities

 

Check-in formalities are carried out at the counter designated for the flight you will be traveling on!

The formalities include checking in your baggage and assigning a seat on the aircraft. You can find information about your flight on the display boards. The check-in deadline may vary depending on the airline, so you must ensure that you meet the travel requirements. Your presence at the airport for check-in should be two to three hours before an international flight and at least one hour for a domestic flight. Passengers who do not arrive on time for check-in may lose their right to travel on the scheduled flight. For additional information, please ensure that you check the operating conditions of the airline you are traveling with.

 

Document Control

 

This stage involves checking the documents required for crossing the state border and applies to all international flights!

At the Border Police control, you must have your identification documents, the boarding pass received from the airline, and any authorizations/certificates/visas, etc. If you are accompanying a minor, please make sure you are informed about the terms and conditions required for your journey by the airline or the Border Police.
