COVID-19 Prevention Measures Security
Control in the Current Context
The global spread of SARS-CoV-2 infection has significantly changed the way we perceive our daily reality. Physical distancing between people has become the most appropriate and convenient preventive method in all aspects of our social life. And one of these aspects is air transportation and the safety of air travel.
During this period, if you choose to use the civilian aviation airports in Romania, you will encounter security operators from the Anti-Terrorist Brigade, either behind a plexiglass screen and/or wearing a face mask, or at the necessary interpersonal distance required to apply specific procedures, while adhering to all measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
What we do:
We have requested the airport operator to disinfect security equipment, baggage conveyor belts, and frequently used common surfaces (such as trays and tables for inspection) with a frequency determined by the health authority.
We implement all the recommended protective measures by the authorities to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2.
We replace latex gloves and explosive trace detection samples after each physical interaction with passengers or their baggage.
We make continuous efforts to reduce the level of physical interaction with passengers, but at the same time, we need to remain efficient, allowing you to undergo a smooth security check within a reasonable amount of time.
What you can do:
At home:
If you have a fever, cough, or difficulty breathing, consult a doctor before coming to the airport.
Familiarize yourself in detail with the general security control rules, as well as those specific to the current pandemic context.
Equip yourself with a face mask.
Carry in your hand luggage only personal items that are strictly necessary.
An overcrowded bag may increase the chances of being subjected to manual inspection to clarify its contents, thus avoiding additional interactions with security operators.
We recommend transporting liquids, sprays, gels, electronic/electrical devices, and all other non-essential items in checked baggage.
For restrictions related to carrying liquids, sprays, and gels in cabin baggage, please consult the Liquid Restrictions section.
The transportation of disinfectant solutions (liquids, gels) or materials such as disinfectant wipes or other similar solutions in cabin baggage is permitted, even in containers over 100 ml. Containers containing alcohol content of over 70% are allowed with the approval of the airline you are traveling with.
We recommend that electronic/electrical items such as chargers, cables, and power banks be packed separately in your baggage to facilitate their presentation when requested by security operators.
At the airport:
Wear personal protective equipment.
Use the disinfection products available at the airport, including before accessing the security filters.
Pay attention to the informational messages transmitted (audio, video, or in the form of posters or informative boards) and follow the instructions for the security control process.
We recommend arriving at the airport in a timely manner before the departure time, based on the indications received from the airline you are traveling with.
During security control:
Use the floor markings for physical distancing.
Follow the instructions of the security operators throughout the security control process.
If you find it appropriate, you can use single-use bags to protect your luggage or personal belongings.
Address any necessary questions to the security operators for clarification.
Place items carried in pockets (mobile phones, coins, keys, etc.) as well as accessories (watches, belts, bracelets, etc.) in your bag, purse, or backpack.
At the request of the security operators, personally remove certain items from your bag for clarification or additional checks.
If it is necessary to undergo a manual inspection, the security operators will position themselves behind and beside you. Your cooperation with the operators will
