BORDER POLICE
“Our Mission” The Romanian Border Police is part of the Ministry of Administration and Interior and is the specialized institution of the state that carries out its duties regarding the supervision and control of the state border crossing, the prevention and combating of illegal migration and specific cross-border crimes committed in its area of competence, the compliance with the legal regime of the state border, passports and foreigners, ensuring the interests of the Romanian state on the internal Danube, including the Macin arm and the Sulina channel located outside the border area, in the contiguous zone and in the exclusive economic zone, respecting public order and tranquility in the area of competence, under the conditions of the law (Article 1 of Emergency Ordinance no. 104 of June 27, 2001, regarding the organization and functioning of the Romanian Border Police). CUSTOMS
“Our Mission” The mission of customs authorities in EU member states is described in the Customs Code of the Union (REGULATION (EU) No. 952/2013). Customs authorities are primarily responsible for the supervision of international trade in the Union, thus contributing to fair and open trade, the implementation of the external dimension of the internal market, the common commercial policy, and other common policies of the Union with an impact on trade, as well as to the overall security of the supply chain. Customs authorities establish measures that aim, in particular, at:
(a) protecting the financial interests of the Union and its member states;
(b) protecting the Union from unfair and illegal trade and promoting legitimate economic activities;
(c) ensuring the security and safety of the Union and its residents, environmental protection, in close cooperation with other authorities, if necessary;

TRANSPORT POLICE
“Our Mission” The Transport Police Directorate is a central unit within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police without legal personality, which exercises its duties under the direct coordination of a deputy of the General Inspector of the Romanian Police. The Directorate coordinates, guides, evaluates, and monitors the activities of railway, maritime, and air transport police structures in the territory, ensuring the uniform application of the current regulatory acts, ministerial orders and instructions, as well as the provisions of the General Inspector of the Romanian Police regarding the field of competence. The Transport Police has material and territorial competence in direct relation to the component structures of the Ministry of Transport both at the central and regional levels. ROMANIAN INTELLIGENCE SERVICE – Anti-Terror Brigade
“Our Mission” SRI is the national authority in preventing and combating terrorism, as well as in the field of armed escorts on board aircraft. It is a complex responsibility that requires concerted actions and measures: information gathering, multisource analysis, monitoring, anti/counter-terrorism intervention, as well as internal cooperation – with institutions and public authorities that are part of the National System for Prevention and Combating Terrorism (SNPCT) – and international cooperation. Why such a complex effort? Because terrorism seriously affects the lives and safety of citizens, the balance of the environment, the security of critical infrastructure, and the proper functioning of state institutions.
